Ionic Framework One Day Training Slides and Code

We had an awesome time at the Ionic Framework One Day Training workshop on the 17th. If you couldn't make it, you missed out. Here are the slides for the class.

Of course we only went through the slides for about an hour and a half, the rest of the day we built an Ionic app together.  The app uses geolocation, ajax, Google Maps, data from YP.com, side menu, routing, continuous scrolling, and local storage for persisting settings. In other words it is a pretty good example of a lot of the things you will want to do with Angular/Ionic.

What is really cool is it does all this, works fast and is cross platform, running on both iOS and Android. The source code for the app is on my GitHub repo at: https://github.com/Rockncoder/ionic-coffee

My next workshop will be on January 31st. This one is FREE. It is a three hour tour of a lot of the command line tools we use in developing apps. The class will be held at ITT Technical Institute in Torrance, California, a suburb of Los Angeles. If you haven't signed up do so quickly. I will post some preparation information later this week. Here is the sign up link: AngularJS Workout #1

Next week I will a new tutorial series which will break the ionic coffee app into 6 bite size chunks explaining how it all works in detail. So be sure to check out the rockncoder blog every week.
